The Patriots were inducted into the AFL in 1959.

The Patriots play their first home game ever at Harvard Stadium, a 24-14 loss to the Dallas Texans before 11,000 fans.

On March 31st 1993 the Patriots unveil their new logo and uniforms at a press conference at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston. The new icon features a streamlined head of a minuteman while the primary color of the uniforms changes from red to blue.

On January 21st 1994 Robert K. Kraft becomes the Patriots fourth owner in the club's 35-year history with an agreement to purchase the team from James Orthwein.

On January 16th 2002 in a driving snowstorm, the Patriots beat the Oakland Raiders, 16-13 in overtime, in the final game at Foxboro Stadium to advance to the AFC Championship game.

The Patriots have been to the Playoffs 12 Times. In 1963, 78, 86, 96, 97, 01, and 03 they won the AFC East. The other 5 Times they were the Wild Card. The Patriots have played in 3 Super Bowls in 1985, which was aWildcard Season, in 1996, and 2001. They won the Super Bowl in 2001 over St. Louis but lost the other 2, in 85 to Chicago and in 96 to Green Bay.
